Student visit: When HKUST undergraduates meet C&T Chairman

Hong Kong, September 21, 2018 - A group of committee members from the Business Students' Union (BSU) of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) organized a courtesy visit to C&T’s headquarters in Cyberport on September 19, 2018, and had a meeting session with founder and Chairman of C&T, Ir. Ng Cheung Shing.

BSU is a student-run, non-political and non-profit-making student organization. Being the sole union representing all the students studying in the School of Business and Management, it has a vision to enhance students’ knowledge and exposure to the business world through organizing a wide variety of academic and career-orientated functions for over 1,600 members.

In this highlight activity of BSU’s Mentoring Program 2018, the BSU committee members introduced their union and received valuable advice from Ir. Ng on their year plan and future development of BSU. They also learned from Ir. Ng his personal experience of starting and sustaining development of C&T and experienced the real environment of the company’s operation with a tour around the office led by C&T representatives.

Through the firm visit, C&T provides a platform for business students to discover their talents in the IT field and increase their exposure to the dynamic technology age. It is hoped that the experience of interacting with Ir. Ng can expand the frontiers of the students' knowledge and better equip them for successful career in the business world.
