Hong Kong, February 5, 2020 - Apart from regular activities organized by environmental organizations, C&T staff have actively participated in the company’s go-green workshops and activities, the latest of which was the Upcycling Workshop on January 23, gathering more than 20 colleagues to know more about plastic pollution and raise daily awareness of environmental protection through DIY making of recycled products.

At the workshop themed for recycling with DIY coin bags, the tutor shared with the attendees the production process and decomposition difficulty of plastic, giving the participants a heads-up on the impact of plastic accumulation on the earth and the urgency of reducing plastic consumption. Following the instructions given by the tutor, the participants used recycled banners, buttons and other used materials to transform the discarded plastic into a practical coin bag, a simple way to lessen the burden on the environment.

Committed to being a socially responsible enterprise, C&T launched the Green Month campaign last year, creating opportunities to cultivate environmental awareness of the staff and promoting actions for the sustainability of the society. This Upcycling Workshop receiving great response has kick-started the new series of environment related activities in 2020.
