Hong Kong, May 29, 2019 - Committed to corporate responsibility, C&T has organized a Green Month campaign in May to encourage colleagues’ environmental protection in both work and life through a series of green activities, including Barter Trade, Green Monday and Upcycling Workshop.

Waste produced in Hong Kong per capital is far more than South Korea, Taiwan, etc. but a large number of unwanted products in deed can be redesigned into various useful items through upcycling instead of abandon. On May 17, C&T organized an upcycling workshop with over 20 colleagues attending, providing a chance for them to design a fancy clock with unwanted CDs and cloths during the workshop.

In May, C&T also introduced the Barter Trade campaign, encouraging colleagues to exchange unwanted yet useful items. By promoting this sustainable life style, not only the life cycle of products can be extended but also waste production in daily life will be reduced. Meanwhile, C&T joined the Green Run 2019 charity race to support society activities and further deliver the eco-friendly message to the public. By end of May, we are going to organize a beach cleaning activity in Lamma Island, providing a great opportunity for C&T colleagues and their family members to take part in a meaningful green action together.
