Hong Kong, March 21, 2018 - C&T’s IPL HRMS is not only the partner of choice for enterprises, but also the preferred partner for tertiary institutions. Specialists of IPL HRMS have been invited by VTC to conduct workshops for the Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management and provide the students with practical training for the usage of IPL HRMS software.

The higher diploma is a two-year programme offered by VTC for full-time students aspiring to a career in the HR field, held in both Kwun Tong & Tsing Yi centers of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education with over 100 students in total. The programme aims to enable students to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to perform human resource management responsibilities in the workplace. Vocational training for IPL HRMS usage is included in the curriculum for equipping the students with the practical skills to manage essential HR processes well with HRM systems.

The training for IPL HRMS usage is included in module "Human Resource Information System" in semester five, which gives the students the best chance to apply their knowledge of employment laws and HR practices in their last semester. Over the four workshops, IPL HRMS specialists guided the students through the system overview of IPL HRMS, the requirements and effects of labor laws and regulations in Hong Kong, and the practical usage of IPL HRMS core modules in managing employee records, calculating leave, payroll and MPF with standard reports for analysis.

Outside the lessons, students of the programme also interviewed the IPL HRMS specialists for their final-year project on applying IPL HRMS’ core and ESS (Employee Self-Service) modules in small-scale clinics and sought advices on the functions and costs for streaming HR processes with mobile apps and real challenges in app development. Through on-campus workshops and interaction, C&T hopes to help those students interested in joining the HR industry deepen their learning and understanding from hands-on practice with the applications widely used in the industry.
