Hong Kong, December 21, 2018 – Fair Trade Hong Kong (FTHK) has named C&T a Fair Trade Corporate with the award of Fair Trade Corporate Label - Bronze, which recognizes the Group’s outstanding contribution in promoting the concept of fair trade in daily operations. C&T is also the first IT company receiving this award.

A not-for-profit organization founded in 2008, FTHK is committed to establishing a fair-trade economy to ensure producers in the developing world can receive fair share of income, thus to alleviate poverty, reduce inequality and contribute to a sustainable future.

At the award presentation ceremony held on December 10, C&T was invited to share the Group’s initiatives regarding fair trade and the impacts to the stakeholders. While taking opportunities of various business events and exhibitions to send out fair-trade promotion gifts and introduce the public to fair trade, C&T has also organized a series of staff and community activities with FTHK, including promotion in the Group’s annual dinner, the DIY Natural Scrub Workshop, and the Chocolate Storytelling & Tasting Workshop. Recognizing the collective effort and support of the company and its staff, the award is a great driving force for C&T’s continuous contribution to a sustainable future.
