Improving professional skills: C&T encourages colleagues’ engagement in overseas training
Hong Kong, February 26, 2020 - C&T values employees’ career development, and thus outstanding employees will be nominated to participate in Qualification Framework’s Award Scheme for Learning Experiences organized by the government every year. The qualified applicants will receive an incentive for overseas training in countries including the United Kingdom, America, France and more, learning with industry partners from around the world. A series of training will be provided to the awardees based on their professions, such as HR technology, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, big data and other aspects, covering topics from technology introduction and case study sharing to experience sharing by mentors. Following are the stories of some of the C&T awardees.
Myra Chan, Senior Project Officer of C&T’s human resources management software IPL HRMS, was the awardee in the Award Scheme 2019 and given the opportunity to participate in Employee Experience Forum 2019 in London. The sharing by the guests allowed Myra to understand the difficulties of transforming from a traditional enterprise to an agile company and the advantages of a business’ long-term development as a result of the transformation. Knowing more about the difficulties of traditional enterprise customers in transforming businesses and the benefits innovation tech brings to HR industries has boosted Myra’s recognition and confidence in her professional capacity. In 2018, Jackson Li, Project Manager of IPL HRMS, attended HR Technology Conference & Exposition in Las Vegas to learn the application of global innovative tech and network with HR practitioners from around the world, enhancing his communication and presentation skills.
On the other hand, Joy Li, Solutions Consultant of C&T’s enterprise retail management software ChainStorePlus ERM, joined the Customer Service Summit in New York in 2017 to learn how artificial intelligence and big data help customer service advisers to provide reliable and timely after-sales service, offering her an extraordinary experience. The awardee in 2016, Kingsley Ng, Technical Lead from the same business team, took part in IEEE International Conference in France to strengthen the usage of cloud technology and big data.
Completing the Award Scheme for Learning Experiences in 2019, Myra expresses her gratitude to the company for offering her the valuable overseas training opportunity, which has broadened her horizons, strengthened her knowledge and skills in HR tech application and developed her network with industry partners around the world. Myra hopes to contribute to the company with all she has learned, to provide customers with better services.
