Hong Kong, March 2, 2022 - C&T was invited to speak at the building information modeling (BIM) webinar of Construction Industry Council on February 23, sharing with more than 400 engineering, procurement and IT specialists how enterprise management software ProSmart EPM facilitated AECOM's digital transformation with data harmonization in procurement.

As a new way of collaboration for generating and managing building data in the architecture engineering & construction (AEC) industry, the BIM process has strong abilities in data standardization and data harmonization, which is useful and usable for procurement, for its decision making, cost prediction or forecast when data is collected. This webinar provided a great networking platform for professionals to get insights into the integration between BIM technology and procurement management.

At the webinar, Mr. Thomson Lai, Digital Lead, Asia, AECOM, and Ms. Constance Lau, Technical Director, Program, Cost & Consultancy, AECOM, shared the trend of BIM integration into AEC business operations and how to achieve data harmonization with well-planned data strategy, data capture and data mapping. Providing insights into strategic digital transformation, Mr. Lai addressed that applying new technology can leverage the data value and make procurement procedures much easier to complete.

Shedding light on ensuring successful digitization, Mr. Tim Lo, Head of Enterprise Software Sales, C&T Software (HK), introduced how AEC companies can apply market-proven tech solutions to harmonize data management and improve procurement workflows. Mr. Lo took ProSmart as an example in the discussion, sharing the various benefits brought by integrated e-procurement, such as improving compliance, decision-making, efficiency and sustainability.
