C&T Wins Hong Kong ICT Award 2013

Hong Kong, April 9, 2013 – Leading locally listed information technology (“IT”) services company, Computer And Technologies Holdings Limited (C&T Holdings or the "Group", Stock Code: SEHK 00046) announced that its subsidiary Computer And Technology Solutions Limited ("C&T") through a joint application with the Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries ("BMCPC") won the Best Business (Application) Award: Certificate of Merit of the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2013. The award-winning project All Round Cemeteries Operations Management Solution ("ARCOMS") has marked the first cemetery management solution to receive this accolade and illustrated C&T’s distinguished abilities to adopt information technology in traditional industries. The Awards Presentation Ceremony was held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on April 8, 2013.

The Hong Kong ICT Awards were established in 2006 under a collaborative effort amongst the industry, the academia and the government to recognize, promote and commend the excellent achievements of Hong Kong ICT professionals and organizations.

As the market leader in cemetery management, BMCPC made a visionary decision with C&T to develop the state-of-the-art ARCOMS, which allows centralized access to all the standalone BMCPC functions that are now integrated and streamlined into four management systems — Cemetery, Donation, Investment and Portfolio and Project. The judging panel showed acknowledgement of the contribution of ARCOMS, "Cemetery is a traditional industry with its own practices and commands considerable sensitivity. The system demonstrates a good example of marriage between tradition and new technologies, which have enabled the Board to manage the activities with a greater accuracy and the analytical capabilities for strategic decision making. Moreover, the workflow built in the system well provides the existing staff who are unfamiliar with computer with a good chance to enjoy a greater productivity and a better job performance."
